What Makes Life Great: A Poem

Inspired by Elena (Livia) Diaconescu's Post

Ocean is there in the yonder.

For each step, one can't help but wonder,

what kind of species is this flower?

And how could it have this type of color?

The path is dirty and uneven.

But this feels like heaven.

The sun shines brightly in the horizon.

The main gate is without fence and open.

In the cities we toil hard and weary.

The mundane that makes one so teary.

The things that we hold so dearly,

but only now that we can see so clearly.

Is this the life that we want?

Will the work ever be done?

What is a life without fun?

The bane of bearing the brunt.

As we walk through the welcoming gate,

let us let go of all the things that we hate.

Also, don't regret of the choices we've made.

This is what life is and what makes it great.
