What makes it..
Today has set me thinking about the company and how we manage, a couple of impromptu conversations both started by one of the girls. As it's International Women's day I found it really interesting.
One started along the lines of how she watches and learns from one of our "younger" managers, how he deals with situations and manages his team successfully (but please don't tell him). To have one of our managers proving to be an inspiration, for me is the best thing ever.
The second conversation, what makes a good manager.. how do you know? My stock answer is always have a good heart, hold up others before yourself, be honest and care, think team and then more team, set the goals and get the results, go forward together, praise praise and more praise, never steal someone's work as your own... there's so many more, but she got the point.
From the half hour conversation, I think we have a young person who would like to manage and I believe she can .
Oh you're asking about the picture.. that's my friend Faye from four years ago when she modelled, before the car accident that put her in to a coma for three months and left her unable to walk and lost her voice.
I've watched her learn to walk again and learn to talk over the last two years, some of her friends fell away, we kept in touch with one promise.. we will shoot again mate.
Faye can now run, is hitting the gym and the day of us shooting again is getting closer..
International Womens Day, you can follow your dreams and have the strength to overcome all odds.. women are just amazing and I know some awesome ones.
