What Makes Hilton Grand Vacations A Great Place To Work? Our Vice President Of People, Inclusion And Culture Weighs In
Hilton Grand Vacations
We offer unique career opportunities in the most sought-after vacation destinations around the world.
Hilton Grand Vacations was named one of Newsweek’s “Top 100 Most Loved Workplaces” for the third consecutive year. Andrea A. — vice president of people, inclusion and culture — is part of the team that builds a positive work culture to support Team Members, from diversity and inclusion to recognition and development.
“We honor our Team Members, from our benefits and flexible working arrangements to our people-first culture,” Andrea said. “When I see these types of awards, it doesn’t feel real until our Team Members say so. They’ve validated that Hilton Grand Vacations is a great place to work. It’s exciting to see the work receive external recognition in the industry. ”
For an inside look at Hilton Grand Vacations’ positive work culture , we asked Andrea about her career and what it’s like to work at an inclusive and empowering workplace.
Before joining Hilton Grand Vacations in 2021, Andrea spent 15 years at Comcast, the parent company of NBC Universal. Then, she got a call from a recruiter with an opportunity she couldn’t resist. “It was a position to build an office of diversity, equity and inclusion — and I’m a builder.” She made up her mind when she visited the office and met her potential co-workers who were equally passionate about building a positive work culture.
“I was happy where I was at Comcast. However, I feel in my soul that hospitality is where I’m supposed to be. I'm glad I landed where I did,” she said. “I'm really immersed in the culture of Hilton Grand Vacations, and it’s an honor to bring those values to life.”
So what exactly does the VP of people, inclusion and culture do? “My portfolio includes a little bit of everything: diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging; environmental and social governance; learning and development; recognition; volunteerism; and talent and performance management.”
Originally, Andrea was hired to create a diversity, equity and inclusion team. However, as she assessed the company, she found she needed to pivot. “I found that Hilton Grand Vacations didn’t lack diversity. I could see myself in the organization and had opportunities for growth. Instead, I wanted to focus on creating inclusive processes for everyone to access those opportunities.”
“We all have a culture and unique lived experiences. We're all diverse in some way, so I lead from a lens of inclusion,” Andrea said. “Hilton Grand Vacations is a people-first organization, so it was important to me to put people and inclusivity first. That way, diversity, equity and belonging follow.”
To build a people-centric culture, Andrea and her team got to work expanding programs to improve the Team Member experience. She said, “Within my first year, my team revamped our recognition platform , SPARK, to encourage peer-to-peer and leadership recognition. It’s a way to acknowledge and motivate our Team Members and rally around their contributions. You never know when someone's having a bad day and how that simple recognition will make their day.”
“We also rolled out a volunteer strategy with HGV Serves , supporting the pillars to focus our efforts and partnering with national organizations,” Andrea added.
?“We then expanded our Team Member Resource Groups (TMRGs) to create community and learning opportunities. We added six TMRGs to represent Team Members who didn’t see themselves in our existing groups, including young professionals and parents and caregivers.”

7 个月HGV is a lousy company who scams their timeshares, takes annual fees and block points. They delay, postpone, do not answer, and play innocent. Do not trust them by any means ! Be notified and be aware not to engage.
