What Makes A Great Day?

What would make a great day - or even just a good day at work? What would that look like? How would you measure that?

Sometimes I have a very full day and yet I still feel like I got nothing done because what I measure as a success did not occur. If I have enough of these types of days I can start to feel very discouraged. Lately I've been trying something different and it is making each day more fulfilling.

The Making Of A Great Day

I start each day asking GOD to guide my steps all day long. I dedicate the day to serving GOD and I ask Him to open my eyes to see what He is doing around me so I can be a part of that (I learned this from the book Experiencing GOD).

Then I can view the things that happen that day as part of His plan for my life, and I can enjoy the journey instead of stressing that things aren't going my way or I did not get something done.

Life Is Busy

You have a stack of things you could do today, so do I.??But what if we told GOD we wanted to do what He wants us to do today, and then get going on our agenda while staying available to the things He brings our way???

Not that we ignore the things we have planned to do today, but that we have the mindset that if we spend our time wisely and stay focused, GOD will allow us to complete the things He wants us to get done, and we can remain open to His interruptions during the day for HIS purposes. ? By the way, we do this by keeping Margin in our lives.

With this new mindset we can be at peace and have a day full of joy and contentment for the things we will accomplish today.?

As you start your day, commit this day to the Lord and be excited about what He will allow you to complete.??

Stop working after 8 hours, no matter how much you got done, and be thankful that GOD allowed you to work today.??Then trust that He will complete everything else in His time. Go enjoy the rest of your day with friends and family and go to bed at night with the peace that comes from knowing GOD is in control.
