Beacon Bay Project Management

We know that providing an excellent customer service experience for guests is a top priority. Still, your hotel's leadership should also provide that same level of satisfaction for employees.
Being a great leader to employees helps with employee retention, recruitment, and, ultimately, company culture. Here are a few ways that the leadership mindset can positively impact your company.
Teamwork:
Implementing a team-oriented mindset is crucial to gaining the trust of the many teams you're most likely empowering. Keep your focus on accountability for your team and take action when you see your team morale start to lower. Small group meetings or one-on-one meetings can significantly improve the trust your team has in you.
Communication:
If you're struggling with team-wide decisions and training and the myriad of issues you're juggling, be open and honest with your team about what's going on in the company. Let them know about changes you're allowed to speak about and how they will impact you as a team, not as an individual. This implements connection with the people on your team and guarantees a level of trust within your group that is earned and not dictated.

Be An Excellent Listener:
You don't have much time - I know. You're pulled in 800 different directions, and honestly, if you have to hear another complaint from an employee, you might just run away screaming. The way to avoid this and continue to be a good leader is to consistently maintain one-on-one meetings and/or small group sessions where employees can feel open about issues that arise. If employees know there's a time and place to chat, it'll lessen the chance that they'll hunt you down because of a "he said / she said" moment. Of course, we know there are emergency situations, but always being a good listener will continue to evoke trust in the ones you lead.
