What makes a good leader?

What makes a good leader?

Trying new things allows us to grow. Just as we encourage our clients to try new things, we tried something new this past week.

We hosted a FREE and LIVE workshop called "Take Control of your 2023." Our goal with this workshop was to teach others how our clients are accelerating their results. And one result from the workshop was the momentum folks were able to create in just 5 days!

Three examples of goals our client choose to work on are:

  • building better teams,
  • improving internal company relationships, and
  • time management.

As my friend @MarshallGoldsmith says, it may sound "simple, but it is not easy." And this stuff takes "courage, humility and discipline."

During our LIVE event last week, we broke down each session into different categories:

  • Setting the vision/goal/mission
  • Getting what you need (to accelerate your success)
  • Action Planning--those who know me, know that I am biased towards action
  • Mindsets

It was fun to also learn from those attending.

@BrianRicker shared inspirational quotes like:

We can't direct the wind, but we can adjust our sails. -Cora LV Hatch

And Duncan shared an "oldie but goodie" called "The TH Kelly Handbook: The Little Green Book." In the book, TH Kelly writes about how to create success:

  1. Share the goal/mission with the team
  2. Understand there is a chance for success
  3. And know your leader has your back

On Mondays at 1:30pm EST, we started hosting LinkedIn LIVES. The work shared from our "Take Control" live event really aligned with what one of our parting questions was from last weeks LinkedIn Lives:

What make a great leader?

To keep the conversation going, this Monday on LinkedIn Live at 1:30pm EST, we will discuss what makes a good leader. And if you want to keep learning, check out these resources:
