What Makes Frazier & Deeter Stand Out Among Accounting Firms According to This Remote Audit Manager

“I can’t wait for things to go back to normal.”

How many times have you said those words in the past two years? For Marc Mallare, it's impossible to count. In March of 2020, he was a newly promoted senior in public accounting and in the middle of his third busy season. The transition from working in office to working from home full time was difficult for him at first and, like everyone else, he only wanted things to go back to “normal.” ?Soon, he realized his priorities had changed from what they were pre-pandemic and knew there was an opportunity better suited for him. After four years with the same firm, he began his search for a position that would help him grow both professionally and personally.

Today, Marc is a fully remote Audit Manager at Frazier & Deeter. He says his decision to change jobs one year ago was difficult, but, thanks to FD, it’s one of the best ones he's ever made. Here’s why:

Frazier & Deeter’s most important asset is their people, and we treat them as such.

This past busy season, Marc was caught up in work and still entrenched from his previous job that consisted of many long hours. When Jessica Weissinger, Audit Chief Operating Officer and Principal, noticed, she asked to re-assign a few things because he had been working too much. "I was shocked. Not once in my career, especially as a senior, has a manager or above has been concerned about my workload," said Marc.

It’s more than freestyle Coke machines, corn hole, team lunches and unlimited PTO (all of which are some of the amazing perks FD offers), but FD truly believes in taking the time to get to know each other and supporting people as individuals.

Frazier & Deeter’s culture transcends our office walls.

Marc was apprehensive to accept his offer from FD at first because it was 100% remote. Prior to the pandemic, his workdays were spent in office surrounded by managers and coworkers. Though he had adjusted to working from home, he was nervous to work every day alone, especially when the closest FD office is 708 miles away. After accepting the position, he quickly learned that distance is no challenge for FD.

Thanks to modern technology, he was able to establish meaningful relationships with everyone he worked with starting day one. "The energy of Team FD is unlike any other, making my first trip to the office feel like one big, happy reunion," noted Marc. Because the firm’s brand promise, Investing in Relationships to Make a Difference, is so strongly permeated through their culture, FD employees at all levels and locations have the opportunity to grow, serve and thrive together as a team.

________

According to Marc, that’s why his search for the perfect opportunity ended at FD. We look for new ways to support and invest in our people every day. We encourage one another. We celebrate one another. We help each other develop and grow.

"I know pursuing a greater opportunity for yourself can be intimidating, but I encourage you to take the leap. It could be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life. If it’s at Frazier & Deeter, it will be!"

We are actively seeking team members who are curious, focused on continual learning and thrive on building relationships. Learn more about us at https://fdopportunities.com/
