What is the LinkedIn FEATURED section & How to Access IT? WATCH THIS.

In 2020, LinkedIn added a new profile section: FEATURED. If you aren't aware of this, it's probably not enabled yet on your LinkedIn profile -- YET!

LinkedIn Featured Section Checklist

Step 1: Enable the Featured Section

• Navigate to your LinkedIn profile.
• Click on the button at the top that says "Add profile section."
• In the "Recommended" section, locate "Featured" and click on the plus sign to enable it.

Step 2: Add Content

• Click on the plus sign "+" within the Featured section on the upper right side.
• Choose the type of content you want to feature:
• Post: Select a previously published LinkedIn post.
• Article: Feature a LinkedIn article you've written.
• Link: Add a link to an external website.
• Media: Upload an image, document, or presentation.
• You may also wish to modify the description for these items before saving.

Step 3: Rearrange Content (Optional)

• Click on the pencil icon within the Featured section.
• Drag and drop the content items to rearrange their order.
• Click "Done" to save the changes.

Step 4: Preview and Adjust

• Review how your content appears in your FEATURED section.
• Ensure that the preview images are visually appealing and don't have any significant cuts or distortions.
• If necessary, make adjustments to the external website content or upload a different image.

Additional Tips

• Up to Three Items: Consider adding at least 3 Featured items for optimal visibility.
• Be Intentional: Feature content that is relevant to your LinkedIn goals, that also supports your professional brand and showcases your expertise.
• Update Regularly: Keep the Featured section fresh by adding new content or removing outdated items.
