To name a few based on my experience are:
Letting go of CONTROL
When the most beautiful person one has ever met suddenly ghosts him/her at an unexpected time, one tends to panic and do everything to keep him/her back. One exhausts all possible ways to keep the ā€runnerā€™ back, hoping to control the situation. The ā€stayerā€™ must learn that there is NOTHING he/she can do to make things his/her way. Even with ā€goodā€™ intentions, thereā€™s ABSOLUTELY no way to keep the runner twin to stay. By ā€chasingā€™, in the hope to ā€controlā€™ things, one actually gives up his own power and lets the ā€runnerā€™ take control over him. One must learn how to let go of control and ā€acceptā€™ that the runner needs to run for some reason/s and letting go of control is one of the biggest lessons in this journey. By doing so, one can learn how to control oneself and be able to direct a more proactive life for himself, and eventually the ā€runnerā€™ twin.
ACCEPTANCE
We learn to accept things as they are and that some things are beyond our control. We learn to accept that it is not our fault that the runner had to leave and that there is nothing wrong with us. We learn to accept that the twin running away has some lessons he himself has to learn and that separation is inevitable for this purpose. We learn ā€self-acceptanceā€™ in the deeper sense. We learn how to trust only ourselves and not be dictated by fear, ego or some conditioning. We learn to accept that much of the conditioning we have accumulated through life and lifetimes are not necessarily right.
SELF-LOVE
During separation, there are a lot to learn about loving oneself. We work a lot on healing ourselves.
We learn the true essence of loving ourselves. In the process, we purge a lot, we let go of people and things that donā€™t serve well anymore, we open ourselves to the ā€onlyā€™ truth (and that truth can only be sought within) and we realize the importance of self-care.
UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
We learn what unconditional love truly means. We let go of the fear, anger, and hurt for our twin until what is left is only love. After getting past through all the low vibration emotions, we realize that whatā€™s left is only love and compassion for them. Not only we learn to love our twins unconditionally, but we also learn to love ourselves unconditionally, that we are perfect as we are and we are lovable beings. During the process, we also learn to love our loved ones and the people around us unconditionally and thus bring out the best in everyone.
In this journey, I have learned how to love my children more without expecting anything from them. Iā€™ve forgiven and accepted my mother as she is even if sheā€™s caused so much hurt to my family. Iā€™ve learned unconditional love for the people I love.
We are all CONNECTED
We learn that we all came from one source/God and the Source/God is in all of us. We are all connected through love and that we are all here because of love. Even the seemingly bad people who hurt us are here to teach us something and then still recognize love. Our karmic partners, our twinā€™s karmic partners, weā€™re all connected and must thank each othersā€™ presence.
Live our TRUTH
During the process, we learn and get the courage to live our truth. We learn how not to be dictated by societal or religious norms, programmed needs, by our work, by unnecessary expectations, etc. We get to see that truth by being connected to our inner selves.
BIGGER PICTURE
We learn to go outside of the box and see the bigger picture. Everything that is happening is for a bigger purpose and reason. The pain or struggle we are going through is just a tiny speck and part of the ā€preparationā€™ for something bigger- for our evolution, for our life purpose and for humanity and the universe.
