How do you perform a C-section on an elephant?
Only a handful of such vestibulotomies?have been performed on elephants, and the calves have never survived the birth, until now. Earlier this year, the latest of this operation was performed in Nepal by a team lead by Dr Shresthra, senior veterinarian at Chitwan National Park. NTNC vet Dr Amir Sadaula will be presenting this case at this year’s eLearning Virtual Veterinary Conference on Thursday 14 December.
