What to know about LinkedIn Video

I'm sure you've heard the big news by now.
If not, LinkedIn is planning something major when it comes to video.
Video feeds will start showing up here soon, and I want you to be prepared for the change.
While I don't know all the details, I do know that you, as a Solopreneur, likely don't need another marketing task added to your plate, so I'm here to make it simple.
Now, you're likely wondering - "Will it be worth it to do this?"
As always, I say at least test it out to see if it's working for you.?
Of course, there will be many who won't.?
They will continue to thrive on what they're already doing, but we'll likely see some major influencers who've been winning mostly on text and carousels to come out of their shell.
On the other hand, this could?totally?fail similar to when LinkedIn tried adding stories.
It was very short-lived.
Does anyone else remember that?
So, I'm curious to see how this all pans out.
If you're going to try to get ready for this, I would say to prepare now.?
But don't panic like a hurricane is coming in a couple of days.?
You can ease your way into this, but keep these video tips in your back pocket:
Video Tip #1:
Batch your videos.
This is the biggest piece of advice I have for you. It will save you so much time.?
If you can take a couple of days or a weekend to write out your content, record, edit your videos, and schedule them to post, you will be thanking me later.
It will take longer to start?off?since you're not used to doing it, but over time, it will become much easier.?

You can even change out your tops and switch out your makeup + hair if you want.?
You can start off doing short-form videos first to see how this new feed will pan out.?
Then from there, you can start batching long-form video content, if it seems to be popular.
Video tip #2:
You don't need to go out and buy all the fancy stuff to start recording.
A simple ring light from Amazon, your phone, and a small microphone will take you far.
Video Tip #3:
Utilize free and paid apps for editing.?
I like using iMovie for iPhone, Cap-Cut, and FaceTune to improve lighting and remove those fine lines and wrinkles.
If you do all this work on the front-end, then you will be ready when this new thing drops.?
And, it's as simple as that!
Will you be ready?
XOXO,
Sharonda
