What Kind of Shopper Are You? The Fashionista
She knows all about the designers and can tell at a glance what you are wearing. You can easily identify the designer she is wearing because she is advertising for them. She loves the Chanel, Gucci or the Louis Vuitton bag because it’s branded. It does all the talking.
Every item of her clothing is heavily branded on the outside. It’s in the fabric print or the tag/branding is on the outside of the garment. Designers love this shopper. She does all their advertising for them! Her shoes are branded with the signature red soles for example. It’s a well known fact which designer owns that brand. Christian Louboutin.
You may be familiar with Joan Rivers interviewing the red carpet celebrities for the Oscars with ‘who are you wearing tonight?’ Impression management is so high with some human beings that all they really care about is how well others perceive them. They will go to great lengths to manage that impression. The fashionista is an expert in this field. She will shop on line to find the cheapest price or she will waltz right on in to the store so she can be seen shopping there.
She’s a bit of a brand snob and makes no excuse for that. It matters to her. She simply MUST wear what she perceives as ‘good labels’. She wants you to know she is a Cavalli woman or a Versace woman. Most things in her wardrobe have a designer label on them and anything less than is simply not good enough. She will wait until she can afford it rather than buying some cheap thing that will surely damage her self esteem.
She figures she’s worth it. She loves the prestige and her confidence soars. She never disposes of her designer items. She worships them and treats them with great respect in her wardrobe. That Chanel bag goes back into its little box after every use. She won’t lend it to you so don’t even ask!
