How do you cultivate growth mindset for yourself and your teams in times of challenge?

We are living in unprecedented times and more than ever our mindset is critical to our well-being. If we are leading a team it becomes also critical to the well-being of those we lead.
Leading can take many forms, yourself, a family, a group of friends, a work team, a community group, a state, a country and even humanity.
It is true that there are many paths to the same destination, though the one thing that is constant is mindset. Mindset not only helps us pick the best path, it also makes the journey joyful, educational and meaningful for us and everyone else on the journey.
When challenge arises we can respond with different mindsets - Fixed, Growth or Innovation.
Like any muscle in your body the mind is no different, it requires training in order to cultivate it's strength, while over training it will create strain. So how do I create a stronger mindset and maintain a balance. Here's three simple steps to innovation mindset.
1. When a challenge arises be aware of your response. Catch yourself in negative inner talk and emotional responses. That is the fixed mindset right there........I'd hate to burst your bubble though it's only your choice that creates that response and the negativity only comes from expectations that are unfulfilled. Detach from the expectation and embrace your curiosity and resilience. Find something to be grateful for in the event of the unexpected, that's how you master your mindset.
2. Growth mindset is finding a different way to reach the same or similar destination. Ask for help if you need it because most people love to see others overcome challenge. Although carving a new path can be more effort, it does help you cultivate new abilities, find new things and extends your perception of time because memories love variety.
3. The innovation mindset creates a pathway and solution that others can use too. Chances are if you have bumped into this struggle there will be thousands of others like you, that are also looking for a different path. This is how entrepreneurs start businesses and turn profits by providing solutions for others.
So the choice is yours.......how will you respond to your next challenge and please share the techniques and strategies you us to cultivate this in others?
