What about the Kids

painters TUBES magazine's founder Denis Taylor has been writing about Art and Children's Education for a number of years. When Covid Lockdown happened a discussion that was booked for a City Centre Venue (Manchester) was cancelled, as so many important projects idea were cancelled at that awful ill-informed time.

This discussion concept was to involve a number of Art Teachers, full time working Artists and Academic administrators as the panel hosts for a 200 seater venue. The plan was to also hold an exhibition of Art created by Young artists and adults where the invited guests and the public who came to the gathering could view at the opening reception whilst mixing with the participating artists.

Covid stopped that first opening plan in its tracks - It was to help encourage a wide reaching conversation about why Art Education among professionals who listened to how Art could be used effectively as a tool for solid grounding educational purposes. The belief is that practical Art can not only broaden and enlighten the minds of our youth, but also perhaps give the overall Society general and greater understanding, empathy with fellow humans and perhaps engaged in a personally full filling creative view of life.

This idea is now been resurrected by the original Artist (Denis Taylor) who is now in a more useful position to promote the idea through the painters TUBES? brand which he owns. painters TUBES? have major platforms to publish not only magazines, but also catalogues and information brochures. And a Virtual Reality Gallery platform that has three special spaces where Art Students and New Artists can be given professional presentations - without cost to them.

The first successful outing of the catalogue and the Gallery showcase exhibition was with an Academy in the North of England (see the Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy letter above) The show and the catalogue was greeted with total 'Joy' by the students, pride by their families and friends and the Schools faculty. The effect can not be underrated for the future of these young people.
