What is the key to productivity?

What is the key to better productivity?

According to author Crystal Paine

"If you want to be productive, you need to become the master of your minutes".

But how do you become a master of your minutes? Our very own Ildi Racz-Prosser Time Mindset Coach believes that there are 2 key things to think about:

Careful planning and being aware of your #habits and #rituals.

I can quote a lot of smart people who will support me in this statement, that, unfortunately without a plan, some sort of plan, any kind of plan, the chances to achieve your goals and cross the finish line are very slim. Actually, research shows you are boosting your chances to achieve your goals by about 40%. Not saying that it is impossible without a plan, because if I learnt something in my 47+ years, then that is, that humankind can be quite resourceful. Sometimes amazing alignments which we can call luck, can help in overcoming all the obstacles and get you to your goals, but it is rare. This is why, I would suggest on getting your ducks in a row and having a plan that clearly helps to define your next step and lifts the probability crossing the finish line. Of course, the better the plan, the bigger the chance that you will succeed.

Let’s start with some base principals around how to create a plan.

Interestingly enough, having a bigger scale plan that serves your end goals seems to be easier to create. Maybe because our focus is not on the detail and not on the nitty gritty everyday stuff. So, this time I will not go into how to look at the bigger plan, but instead we are going to dive deep and focus on your smaller scale. Meaning your everyday plan. There is some weird magic in creating a daily plan, and I know this sounds almost like a paradigm, but planning creates freedom. Freedom of choice, freedom to make the right choices for you. Freedom to use your time the way you want it to!

One of the things I often talk about is how important it is to be present in everything we do. Being present means that you can give yourself permission to give your full attention to the task at hand without thinking about what comes next and already stressing about what you think you won’t be able to achieve in the near future. In my opinion, this type of self-awareness can only come backed by a good plan. Why? You might ask. Because when you have a plan, the plan takes care of your ‘next step’ it takes away that worry about the future and allows you to live in the present. This is a superpower that once mastered, makes life become so much more liveable, and it allows you to fill the present with those important things that will bring you closer to your end goals.

Using the same level of awareness with your family or personal life, can bring you closer to fully enjoying the special moments in life, creating those Insta worthy perfect snippets that make life so amazing and special.

I hope right now, you can see, what an amazing powerful tool planning can be.
