What Keeps You Going?
What keeps you going?
You decide it’s time for change. You take on a project. A new client. A new task.
You get excited, you get ready, you build up the hype, you picture yourself at the end smiling and shining with happiness and accomplishment. Your motivation is up there, you are ready to put in the work and you know you’ll slay whatever you are about to do!
You roll up your sleeves, you go ahead. You start well, you feel good. You continue, the following day, the day after. Then life happens and you need to tend to this and that, you get sidetracked. You feel guilty, you are disappointed. Until the energy and commitment that was bursting in the beginning fizzles out. And you add yet another disappointment to your collection.
?? How do you keep on track?
?? How do you keep the ENERGY and COMMITMENT high?
?? How do you keep CONSISTENTLY showing up for yourself?
I look at this in two ways:
1. COMMITMENT & DELIVERY
?? At the end of the day ask yourself “What did I do today that brought me closer to my goal?â€
?? What do I need to do tomorrow - write down a specific to do list
?? In the morning, start with that one thing you want to do the least
?? Get things done as early in the day as possible
?? After a productive day, celebrate!
2. ENERGY
?? Put a high vibe playlist on that keeps the spirits up
?? Take 5 minutes in the morning to set intention for the day
?? Tell someone - share your plans, goals with a friend and celebrate your wins and successes
?? Write down the ideal outcome / goal - how does it feel to have reached or accomplished your goal?
?? What stands in the way - journal the hell out of this, note every thought, doubt that may stop you from being a rockstar. Then - look at them and understand it’s all in your head. All those obstacles are just beliefs and thoughts, none of it is reality.
?? Your reality is that you can do whatever you want to.
