What If

Last week I was having a conversation with a budding entrepreneur who is beginning to pitch herself and her new business. Naturally, she's coming up against significant resistance because, like most of us, sales make her nervous. Pitching herself feels awkward, and most days, she'd rather crawl under a rock than pick up the phone or send a cold email.

Is anyone else feeling this?

Like courage, creativity, and working on any relationship you value,?SALES,?SELLING, and?PITCHING?is always a muscle worth building because it's the lifeline to success, business, and financial freedom.??

If you aren't selling yourself, or your services, no one else will, and if you're not selling, you make no sales.

No sales mean no money.

No money means no business.

As I worked with this budding entrepreneur, she kept saying, "What if …."?

  • What if they don't respond?
  • What if they hang up on me?
  • What if they send a mean email back telling me to bug off?
  • What if they say no?
  • What if I'm not a salesperson?

I said … "Oh, but?WHAT IF IT WORKS?"

  • What if they do respond?
  • What if they don't hang up on you?
  • What if they send you an email back asking for a meeting?
  • What if they say yes?
  • What if you ARE A SALESPERSON?!

I just got so hype typing those what-if scenarios that I want to make sales calls and pitch myself right now!

For real.?

Anything new, from sales calls to presentations to first dates, requires?reps?because it's in the consistent action you get comfortable in the uncomfortable.?

This?is where all the magic lives.
