What I've learned, what I am learning and what is yet to come.....

....I was sitting in my garage earlier thinking to myself, wow it's been sometime since I wrote an article, funny how things just pop into your head, as I was gazing amoung the amount of boxes I had yet to unpack....
.....I like when things hit me, I write things down all the time, napkins, notes, post it's, you name it, even on my hand and arms....I utilize it later at moments such as this.
...I've learned that life is short, how you use it is precious, what you do is both insighful and a lesson. (could be a real curse too!) I've learned that not all people are good, sure they mean well, but let's face it, there are just BAD ass people out there, and I wonder to myself, why? Not everyone roaming around has had the life of leisure, the breaks, the monetary funds to do as they please, but it sure feels good to get out there and bust yer hump....you can be proud of your accomplishments, knowing full well, "you got yourself there." It's not a blame game, because, we all have our stories to tell......OWN IT! Compassion has been the foundation to my life....understanding is surely better than a solution and sometimes that early bird does NOT get the worm. Patience, fortitude and perserverence are key. I've written about this before, it should come as no surprise to those of you who have read my earlier articles and postings....
...Now almost three years out from my late husbands tragic death (on his Harley), my life has come full circle......my ship sails, greater horizons of opportunity and networking, educating my mind, limitless advancements, joys of children, seeing my sons grow into fine young men and enjoying the laughter and love that accompany it all......hard work and mindfulness, being thankful for it, the ups and downs, the obstacles and hurdles, the health issues long gone, now it's really time to crank that THROTTLE up and LIVE! Sure I have always been living, but no longer under someone's rule and demands, scrutiny and certainly under my own set of rules, my values have remained the same, my morals and my COMPASS heads in all directions.....a legecy to leave behind some day and to be very proud of so much in my life. We do go through it all to get us here to the here and NOW!
...Whats to come, much. My father is in an upper stage of Dementia and is slowly deterioating, a man of such youth and vigor, creative, hard working, meticulous, a mind like a steal trap and slowly he is being robbed of it.....he and I are so close.....there is not one thing, as a child then and now a woman that my father could not do, but he can no longer remember.....painful, debilitating and heart wrenching to see, I will spend much needed Father - Daughter time with him in the upcoming month....he would be very proud......and I could no more try and hide my tears as I write this....then to express it wasn't happening.....we are HUMAN! That is what differentiates us from animals and forna, we have souls and spirits and we have compassion....if anything you would do, do things for the better, move in a most positive direction in all YOU do......forgive and love one another.....because isn't that what it's ALL ABOUT?
...It's not all about the almighty dollar, you can't go back and you can't wish it all away, you deal with it, you handle it, you comfort those when you can, and offer a hand or shoulder when there are none to be found, for your fellow man or woman......and you MOVE ON!
