What the Inner Critic Taught Me

" The biggest wall you have to climb is the one you build in your mind: Never let your mind talk you ouf of your dreams, trick you into giving up. Never let your mind become the greatest obstacle to success "
It is quite interesting to notice what can either build or break us is within ones own minds. It was always the inner critic that got hold of our emotions and who taught us maybe we are not up for it but the same critic also taught us to keep moving forward one day you will be there.
Have you ever wondered how it would sound if you gave the voice inside you a face, like a human and dress it up? Once you are done would you be able to look at the face and say,
"I am done giving up, you cannot stop me from growing and doing what I love!"
We always find visual objects to convey more meanings, like the saying goes a picture conveys a thousand words. When you picture your own critic in front of you in human form you realise it to be just the same as you are but just two different identities where one forbids you and the other empowers you.
We fail to realise this fact and quite often being guilty to have said someone else was the reason for us not doing what was expected of us. Our greatest fear is not someone getting ahead of us but our own self telling us that we are not worthy of competing.
It is a constant battle of emotions and to conquer your mind you need to first understand why these thoughts are arising inside you. They say to find a solution to a problem we first need to focus on the root cause, once you know your WHY (What Hurts You), then everything will fall into place.
The fear to focus on the why inhibits us so much that we feel to just cut off the branches and keep moving but the root still stays alive!
A temporary fix is not what we need, a permanent solution is what we need to achieve and the only logical way would be to start practising to control your own thoughts as everything started in your mind in the first place.
