Today, I’m recommending articles on changing financial goals, getting feedback, finding your passion, and breaking through fitness plateaus. I also have a thought for the week. It’s talking about work but I think it can apply to studying as well:
“We need to stop the idea that putting in more hours means you’re a better worker. We’re compromising our health when we do this, and then we’re wearing it like a badge of honor. There’s nothing about losing sleep, adding more stress, being away from family, and eating poorly, all for the sake of working more, that should be viewed as honorable. Instead, use that extra few hours a week to relax, spend time with family, do things you love, and be healthier.”?
I am all in on that idea that sacrificing your health and your well being to reach “success” is not real success.
It’s good to have goals, especially financial goals, about where we really want to get to in our lives. But it’s also very important to keep the perspective that those goals and destinations are going to change so much as we age. Our work situations, family situations, and really everything about our lives are going to change so much and therefore where we want to be financially will change as well. We must stay flexible and adapt to our new circumstances.?
Great advice for asking for feedback in all areas of life not just work.?The third question is one you can yourself when giving self feedback about how the day went from your own perspective.?

It’s better to get feedback out into the open and learn from it as opposed to hiding from it. We should want to learn and grow in all areas. Feedback is a gift, not a knock on your worth.?
Another great blog post dealing with the topic of how do I find my passion and is it even the right passion for me? People operate under the assumption that life has one pre-ordained specific passion for them. The author here argues that passion comes from putting in the time to master something, and that can apply to any area. Passion is grown and cultivated through time and learning. You are not destined to only have one passion, and we shouldn’t tell ourselves we’ll miss out on life unless we find that one specific area.?That just creates extra pressure.?
When it comes to our health and fitness plateaus can happen whatever the goal is. To break through the plateau you’ll probably have to switch something up whether it’s your exercises or your diet. Learn more about how to do that here.?
I hope everyone has a great Friday!
