There’s nothing worse than the feeling you get at the end of a year, quarter, month, etc. when you realize you’re in the same place that you started.
Research says that those who are not in pursuit of something bigger and better are some of the most depressed, unhappy people on earth.
Something I have done for the past few years to ensure I don’t plateau in my progress is to pick a word of motivation for the upcoming year.
For 2023 my word was relentless.
The reason I do this is to give me intention for my thinking, my actions, and my behavior.
And believe me, I had to show some serious relentlessness this year.
Without having a set intention, it’s easy to fall off track and get distracted, overwhelmed, or burnt out, but with a guiding word, you will have a purpose to fall back to that will inspire you to continue the pursuit of your goals.
Here are 5 reasons I believe everyone should choose a word of motivation:

4. Measurable Progress - The word you select acts as a barometer for your progress. It enables you to assess whether your actions are in harmony with your chosen focus.

5. Personal Growth - When you grow personally, you grow as a leader. Once you have your goals in front of you for 2024, consider the type of person you need to be to fulfill them and choose a word that will keep you in alignment and motivate you to continually pursue them.

Choose a word that will serve as a catalyst for your success in the coming year.
Embrace it as a mental mentor and constant reminder of your purpose and potential.
