Firstly, what is so great about this eSign system?
All finanical firms should already build it since regulator has announced the necessary guidelines to enforce such online sales advisory need to be fully-comply during circuit breaker & beyond.
But then, what I like about this eSign system is, it envisions a complaint-driven process. All records are encrypted in our company server. There is no massive records to be retained by the sales force, except for the usual essential documents necessary for the e-application.
I believe this is easily achievable by most in-house IT department. No sweat. It’s just coming up a system for sale transactions to take place, just like point-of-sales.
What is really challenging is to convert our intangible sales advisory approach into system of tangible steps and be understood & followed by our sales force!
The challenge is the how-to work with 17 insurers and not 1, but 6 investment platforms to be incorporated into this eSign system compliantly! And we did it!
Each has their own unique system.
Each has their own business culture.
Each has their own service standard
So how to make it happen?
IMO it’s taking up the technology leadership role!
