What If ( I was never shot in the head?)

What if my dad and uncle never met,

Nor considered him his friend.

What if we were designed to live in a time,

Where time would never end?

What if sound was silent, and silence sound,

though both at times can be.

Would I hear these words inside my head,

Flow like a melody.

What if rivers had legs and they could run

From the mountains to the sea?

What if dis had never joined with ease,

Where would sickness be?

What if a know it all, knew nothing at all,

Of what he needs to know?

And because he already knows it all,

He doesn’t believe it’s so.

What if we took a stance, and just sat down,

And history was made.

Would his story and her story

Have lived beyond their grave.

What if hope is higher than doubt,

What if love is the highest plane?

What if a seed had to die and be buried

To be reborn again?

What if answers never began at questions,

cause they skipped a grade or two,

Could I speak out loud, “Let there be.”

because I’m made like you?

What if my brain waved, like a shark at sea,

Constantly moving, never stayed?

Would my Gamma and Beta bully

All your idle waves?

What if the Matrix was an entranceway,

From heaven down to earth?

What if the solutions to this world’s problems,

Were aborted before their birth?

What if Try, just gave up,

Because he never thought he could?

What if wrath, was never instigated by,

 “ I wish a Negro would!”?

What if these questions just stay bottled up,

 never poked and prodded at me?

Would I have even thought to write them down,

To gain some sweet relief?

What if I just believed the doctor who said,

“You will never think again.”?

But when Bishop spoke, “ You’ll be all right.”,

It was cause God had other plans.
