What I Like To Be A Freelancer
Working as a freelancer, member of TITANS freelancers is in its own legionnaire style of work – like sportsmen or members of army special force (I thank to this comparison to Marek Gre?ko and Robert Dusik, which they use in November 2018 Forbes magazine).
For myself as an IT project manager, I do like new projects that I need to quickly orientate myself, understand who are the key stakeholders, identify allies – people capable of delivering results and the most important – become servant to individuals in the team, being both the catalysator and leader who will enable to deliver the product in dedicated time, in best possible quality and agreed price.
What kind of projects are freelancers put into from companies? In my experience from the corporate world it is usually the most demanding projects. Not rarely happens that the same project was previously led by internal employee, the project stops in some point and there is a need for a new `blood` - from outside the organization. They call in legionnaire, who has the experience, levity and can disentangle complex problems and is able to lead the team to finish the project.
The project is delivered and after couple of months it ends. From the freelancer point of view – it is time for rest and to start seeking for a new project. In this moment it is good to be backed by specialized company, which has oversight of the market and dedicated team to help you find a new project – for my personal preference this is enabling myself to make my life easier and more stable. I am part of such a company – TITANS freelancers is for myself a number one choice. It is always great to work with the best on market as they are number one in IT outsourcing in Slovakia.
What I like most to be a freelancer? It opens for me the new opportunities to work on very demanding projects – those ones that can move myself forward. As a project manager I love change and constantly changing environment. To sum up, as the freelancer I have the opportunity to become part of challenging projects that contribute to my personal development while working for various organisations.
