What I Learned Talking With Two IPC Board Members
Today I recorded a podcast where two members of the Independent Pharmacy Cooperative's (IPC) Board of Directors shared with me some of the reasons IPC is hosting another Independent Pharmacy Conference next spring.
Two things stood out; first the meeting is open to any pharmacy owner, without regard to what drug wholesaler, buying group or pharmacy technology supplier they use. This means those that attend will have a chance to meet, mingle, network and develop relationships with other owners they might not meet at their wholesaler show or user group meeting.
But, to top it off, they say the smaller size of the meeting, combined with the more relaxed agenda, social events and meals that allow attendees the time it takes to really talk with other owners - and vendors - and dig a bit deeper than is normally possible at a bigger show.
I have attended the Independent Pharmacy Conference twice and concur with what these two exceptional owners, clinicians and industry leaders shared with me and the listeners of my podcast. The show won't be posted for a couple weeks due to the holiday season but you can listen early next year at: www.pharmacycrossroads.com
Me, I have already made my plans to attend; April 13-15 at the Hotel Del Coronado in beautiful San Diego. Learn more at: www.ipcrx.com/conference
Meanwhile, Happy Holidays

2 年We must have powerful groups like IPC who stand beside our Independent Community Pharmacy owners & help them thrive. There's many different conferences which sometimes are exclusive to members only and while I understand the basics of 'members only' access, this time in pharmacy history is more about ALL HANDS ON DECK! This is the approach IPC is taking. Time has run out for silos and member-only clubs, with the exception of the 'Club of Pharmacy Owners' which is under more pressure to fail than any time in pharmacy history. Bravo to the team at IPC for taking this approach and thank you for your support of Pharmacy CrossRoads.
