1. Becoming comfortable while in discomfort is very powerful - It is critical to continue to push and challenge oneself - lean in to life's hurdles, test yourself, explore your limits.
2. Fear can be incredibly useful
3. Humans are capable of far more than they know. If you can imagine it you can achieve it
4. Camaraderie can carry a group through pretty miserable conditions.
5. Fair weather, never a good sailor made - Only in times of being tested can you make strides to improvement.
6. Don't mess with Mother Nature, like ever...
7. Lyrics that have resonated -
"Lord knows that I've been blessed
I can stand up to the test
I can live on so much less
This much I've been learning
Feel a pounding in my chest
I'm fearful I'll confess" - Tyler Childers, Housefire
8. Life truly is a tremendous gift - Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life? - Mary Oliver
