About Posting Content On LinkedIn Over The Past 2 Months?
Hey LinkedIn 1st connections, I hope you had a great March and April.
I had an interesting past 2 months myself and in this article I'm going to share with you the links to the top posts (most views and/or clicks).
Also I will share with what I've learned about posting/interacting with you with the hopes it will provide you insight for your own LinkedIn goals/en devours.
Before I get into the numbers, here are some things you should now.
- For more info on what I do for a living and how I was able to retire from my 14 year corporate sales career - My LinkedIn profile
- I post 1-4 times per day on LinkedIn via a third party software called Buffer. Message me if you want to find out more about Buffer and how I use it - I happen to love it!
- I post everything entrepreneur, sales, inspiration, articles of other people, articles written by me, my personal stories about my career and life, personal development, mindset, quotes and all sorts of different types of short videos.
- I've been posting regularly and consistently for about 8 months.
- I have just over 10K 1st connections.
Posting different types of articles - What I've discovered?
- Posts that link to outside articles (off the LinkedIn platform) generally seem to get significantly less views.
- Posts that link to articles posted on LinkedIn generally get at least 3X times more views than articles that link off of the LinkedIn platform.
- Posts with no links in them seem to always get more views
- Using #hashtags doesn't seem to move the needle on exposure and views, but I put hashtags in my posts anyways because it gives people a quick snapshot of what the post is about.
Okay, let's get to the numbers.
Posts without links
1591 views - Post #1 - An uncommon very popular quote.
1203 views - Post #2 - One of my posts that seemed to spark some interest.
Posts that link out to articles off the LinkedIn platform
163 clicks - How to Answer "Where Do You See Yourself in 5 Years?" An interesting take on this might surprise you. - #career, #success, #job
147 clicks - Exercise Officially Makes You Happier Than Money, According to Yale and Oxford Research. Consistent exercise 5 days a week, Monday to Friday is the key for my career and life. - #exercise, #happiness, #life, #career

Just A Recap In Case You Missed It : Here are the top 4 articles/posts for February & January 2019.
Okay, here we go...
*With just over 1,200 views the #2 article/post for February.
The #2 post (personally one of my favorites) that I posted in January received 752 views, so this months 2nd place post received quite a bit more views.
*With almost 1,400 views, the #1 Article for February.
Compared to last month's January #1 post that received 1,280 views, so again this month's #1 post received more.
Let me know your thoughts and comments or if you should have any questions, I'm always open to engaging and answering questions.
See you next month.
Kevin
PS - Just so you know why I'm doing this...
The main reason I post articles on LinkedIn is to share my story on how I was able to retire from my 14 year corporate sales career with the hope to inspire other sales professionals who are unsatisfied with their career/life (like I was) and to let them know, that there are other entrepreneurial career options available to them.
Although I've only started actively posting for about 8 months now, I have interacted with a lot of you in some way or another via LinkedIn and have enjoyed every new connection/relationship I have developed over this short period of time.
It is my hope, that everything that I do on LinkedIn and all the conversations that I have with you, will inspire you to live your life to the fullest.
Whatever you have planned right now with your career and life, I wish you all the best and I look forward in getting to know you better in 2019.
