Right now, I'm writing this in the Dining Room.
I’m sitting on a wooden chair in my pajamas.
And my middle brother came downstairs right now to go to the bathroom.
It’s clear outside and it's 37 degrees in New York.
Took care of leaving value-driven comments on a few posts 30 minutes ago.
Made a new connection on LinkedIn and wished her a Happy Belated Birthday.
The room temperature is 57 degrees. On the edge of my seat.
I'm ready. Are you?
Let's go.
Yesterday, I had a Zoom call with a dear connection.?
It's been 586 Days or 1 year, 7 months and 8 days since we connected.
You might be wondering... what was the Zoom call about Craig, and how did it happen?
She asked me on Sunday at 9:18 AM in a LinkedIn message for a virtual conversation.?
And as I'm writing, my youngest brother went into the bathroom to take a shower.
Back to the message.?
She asked me if I had time for a virtual conversation to ask me some specific LinkedIn questions.?
I agreed to it and asked for three days and times which work well for her.
Why did I ask for three days and times??
Here's the truth.

To reduce the back and forth between two people.
I was free in the evening on Tuesday at 7pm.?
We had the call and here are three tips I learned:
Tip #1: Share your experience to help your friend or connection gain experience.
You build trust when you are transparent and not holding back info.
She asked me when I started my LinkedIn sessions and how long it takes to write a post.
It takes about 45 minutes to an hour or an hour and a half.
Another question was how I get to a post quickly to comment.
I have a folder on my browser of different people with the times they post.
When I click on a person with the time, the link goes straight to the person's recent post to leave a comment.
Helps keep things organized.
Be an open book and not a closed book.
Tip #2: Be thankful.
I thanked her for taking the time to chat on a busy evening.
Thank the person when you start and end a Zoom session.
Tip #3: Stay in touch.
The best relationships are when you keep people in the loop.
Update to upgrade your relationship from one level to another.
The same way you play a video game of Super Mario Brothers.
Complete one level to go to the next level in life.
What lessons did you learn from your Zoom calls?
