1 年Yes, well said Giselle. Your connections and your content needs to be in sync. Only then it would be valuable for both parties. Thanks for this reminder, easy to let it slip sometimes:)

1 年I was just talking to Jo Glass about the importance of social media detox and time spent online! Amzing tips Giselle A.. Getting started on them and remaining consistent I think is the bit of challenge. I`d say being aware of how mindless scrolling makes us feel and how we actually want to feel - energized, attuned to our surroundings, etc. is a good place to start to choose to pause. For example, I am on quiet mode on Instagram in the evenings, so I don`t get any notifications. Also when I wake up, I do my best to not check my phone, first thing :)

1 年Love this article Giselle A.! I too think we should all be vary of the addictive behaviours we are all developing through social media browsing, develop more awareness, and put them under control. While as a content creator I kind of 'must' be more present online comparing other businesspeople, I try to be intentional about it. I chose to focus only on one channel - LinkedIn. I've completely detached from other social media channels for the same reasons you mentioned in the article. FB and IG apps are deleted from the phone.
