What I Learned from the EOS Integrator? Masterclass
In January of 2022, I completed?the EOS Integrator Masterclass?. It was an amazing experience and I want to share what I learned with you!
Our class of 40 Integrators?, included representatives from a wide variety of businesses, small and large, and industries covering everything from manufacturing, and tech, to real estate and hospitality. This variety of industries shows that EOS will work in any industry.?
Visionaries, Integrators, and Implementers
Because visionaries and Integrators are both essential to a healthy entrepreneurial business, your business needs both to guide the business forward. Visionaries are the creators of the ideas that carry the business into the future, and Integrators make sure all the parts of the vision work in harmony.?
Visionaries see the big picture and can inspire employees and clients alike, but they are not the correct people to put the ideas into practice and make sure all the parts fit together. Visionaries are the idea people, and quite often don’t do well with daily operations.
Integrators, on the other hand, are detail-oriented people who take the visionary’s ideas, pull all the parts together, and make it work for the whole company. Integrators make the visionary’s ideas possible. They create unity, prioritize for the business, and create organizational clarity. Integrators drive the business plan forward.
Implementers differ from Integrators in that implementers focus on implementing the business operating system. In this case, the system is the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS?). Implementers often come from outside the company, but that person could come from within as well.??
An Integrator is often someone already in the company. Integrators take ownership of the system once the Implementer deploys the operating system, and the Integrator makes sure the system and all the parts are working together.

EOS
EOS? is a practice, and like many things, it takes time and effort. Your team must be ready to practice, be consistent, and live it. Change doesn’t happen overnight, so if your team is not ready, your change will slow even more. The EOS? Process provides a way for you to put all the pieces together, incorporating each of the EOS? Tools in the right order to fortify your business.
There are a few ways to use EOS?, and often the easiest way is to hire an Implementer who will set up the framework for you and help you get your organization functioning at a higher level.
Large companies have been using this method for years, and now that same technique is available for small businesses.
Problem Solving with EOS
When you bring an operating system to your organization, you can prevent the “end run,†which is when an employee goes around the manager to get a better or different answer to their problem or question. At the conclusion of the end run, you must ask the question. If not, you’re going to start the spread of a plague in your organization. If you’re the recipient of the end run, make sure you only listen and coach. In this case, you never want to make a decision. When you make the decision, you leave the manager in question powerless to do the job you hired them to do. Listen carefully, and at the end of the conversation, ask the question.
