What I learned in August

August had a lot of lessons.
Here are three lessons I learned this month:
Lesson #1: Continue to improve, even if you are great at it.
I explained in a Zoom call yesterday that the best has accountability partners.
You can't get to your goals on your own.
Have someone who can push you to the next level.
There is always another level to reach.
No matter how great you are, don't stop.
Keep learning new things and expand your skill set.
Don't settle.
Lesson #2: Be thankful.
I had a case in which there was a call for a topic in a newsletter.
The first time, I was too late.
The second time, I didn't miss it.
It's a LinkedIn Newsletter about self-reviews.
No matter if it's Zoom or a phone call, thank the person who took the time to chat.
Be appreciative, even if things don't work out.
Lesson #3: Teach and be a great example.
My posts about comments are to teach the right way to comment.
Take what you learned and teach it to people you know or want to learn.
We are all teachers in life.
To show people the way and to pay it forward.
You can't hang on to everything and not expect to give back.
When you do a great job of teaching people something new, people will let you know.
They will thank you.
You teach to reach and to share.
Be the example people are looking for.
