What I learned after 20 Years at Machinery Systems., Inc.

In my 20 years with Machinery Systems as a Sales Engineer I have had the privilege to meet and work with countless amazing people throughout manufacturing.  These are the individuals who made America the greatest nation on earth. I just wish everyone could see from my perspective the abundance of commitment, talent, and never-ending optimism to achieve greatness I see every day.

My day could start with a call from an exuberant manufacturer beaming with optimism looking to expand with a bold vision. Alternatively, I could take a very different call from that same owner, for example after events such as 911, or the financial collapse, in 2008. I have had the privilege to walk with these people in great times and desperate times. I have seen most owners brought to tears because failure was a very real consideration. I have also been able to laugh and share in the fruit of their success. A blessing and a curse which all owners understand very well. Characters that are forged in the everyday challenge and choices. They always amaze me in both in the good times and bad.

Awe in the resiliency of manufacturing is my biggest takeaway. Each day no matter what the challenge, and there are many, I have witnessed a spirit excellence and passion coupled with unbridled enthusiasm that does not give up. Each time they are knocked down they find the will to get up, dust off, and become stronger and wiser. Fearless hearts that dream, invent, create in the pursuit of products they can design or make that adds value for we the people, making our economy fresh, innovative, and strong. It takes guts and we have no shortage of leaders who make it a habit to gut out a win. America we should be proud that this abundance of resiliency can be birthed in the USA.

To those who I have had the privilege to work with and all those who fight the good fight thank you! Thank you for the example of awe-inspiring discipline, passion, and never giving up!  Thank you for your business. I wish you the best during the current situation and looking forward to what else you will teach me in the years to come. I’m blessed.

Humbly,

John Schlevensky
