What I Learn from Tom Cruise

What I Learn from Tom Cruise

Have you seen it?

If you haven't run to the theater. You want to see it on a big screen, ideally dolby sound. It's epic. It's a long movie. But you don't notice. It goes by so quickly because the film never stops. It NEVER stops.

It's the kind of movie that makes you want to do better in your own film game and in life. Work harder. Move faster. Learn more. Challenge yourself more. Push harder. It makes you happy to be alive. Plus, it's funny. Charming. Sexy. Sweet. Heartwrenching. How does he do it? My mind was blown.

I think about all the challenges that Tom and his crew faced while getting this movie done. Especially covid. He somehow kept going, kept filming, made it go right despite the barriers. I stayed to watch the credits. I rarely do this. All the thousands of people hired during the pandemic and after. It was humbling to see what it really takes to make a film at the top of its game. My last movie was made with 26 people total.

Mind blowing really. It's very rare that I want to see a film again right away. This one I do. He also did that with Top Gun. Tom and his teams are masters film at this point. They really know how to entertain an audience.

People keep saying he's the last movie star. I hope that's not true. I hope he inspires new movie goers and new actors to make big movies too. I hope people realize movies aren't dead and that cinema should live on, because it's an art form that is so worth preserving. I mean isn't it? There is no great magic than experiencing a well made film on a big screen with other people around also having that same experience.

Tom makes you want to do better and be better. That's no small feat. It's what art should do, when its done right. Run don't walk to the theater and bring your friends and family. You'll like life more after you see this film. I promise.

I'm consistently inspired by Cruise's work. His genius is getting the right people in the room, championing storytelling that engages mass audiences, and being the hardest-working person on the team. Often when I have a little downtime, I put on an M:I movie. ??

200% agree, you’re right but the most difficult isn’t to hire 500 employees but it’s to build a real team between screenwriter, producer, director and your lead actor. If you meet the good team, then, everything’s go on. Today, my problem is that I haven’t met a producer with solid shoulders and a lead actor like you mentioned Tom Cruise ??
