What I do to be without doubts

Everybody at some point in time has experienced doubts, whether it is about what they have to do or simply how things are going to turn out. It's quite a natural feeling we all get except that it can be destructive in certain scenarios. Having doubts, especially for an extended period, or even in the wrong context, could lead to catastrophic consequences. It might lead you to make the wrong decision, make a mistake, or even just be confused and lose your balance. Doubts are a little like fear, they give us a good measure of what to do and what not to do at the end of the day but we have to be careful not to dwell in them for too long, or else we might crash.

There are a combination of things we can do to avoid or get rid of doubts totally and they work very well when we apply them in our lives very diligently. Keep in mind it takes years of practice and building a consistent routine especially when faced with sudden stressful situations

Having all the information

No matter the situation, place, or event, always try your best to have all the information possible so that nothing surprises you. Whether it's a project you are trying to do, a new business venture or even simply just a decision you have to make, ensure that you have all the information you need, and with this, you analyze all the possible ways things can turn out so that nothing surprises you. From my experience what gives people doubts is the fact that they lack certain information and are caught up by a scenario they didn’t see coming.

I don’t think there is anything new you can experience right now, by reading up on the experiences of others, learning from observation, and having a meticulous mind, you can build the confidence you need to be without doubts. A good example of persons without doubts is generally CEOs because in their position, everything they do trickles down, so they can’t afford to show emotions like fear or doubt, so by observing and learning from them you’ll be well on your way.

Being ready for failure

What puts doubts in our minds is the uncertainty of success, you are trying so desperately not to fail to the point where you eventually do. There are certain situations where failure is an undesirable outcome, so we try so hard to avoid it to the point where we end up making mistakes, so one way to be without doubts is to plan and anticipate failure. This should be an outcome like any other so that you already know what you are going to do when it happens, so whether it's success or failure, you are fully prepared so no room for doubts in your mind.

So many people experience doubts because they are so eager for success to the point where they put their full energy into that but eventually, when they start having uncertainties about how things might turn out, this builds doubts in their minds. That's why one thing I always strive to do is plan for what I’ll do in case of success but also failure, so whatever the outcome I am good with it.

Getting rid of stress

Making decisions is usually a very timely endeavor which isn’t helped by stress. You have to make a choice in a short amount of time, if you add again additional pressure on yourself through stress then this will inescapably lead you to doubts. To make good decisions, you have to take in and assimilate enough data, but when you are on a time crunch, you can’t analyze the data fast enough to make the decision fast enough, so this builds stress in you which makes it all the more difficult to do.

To avoid doubts, you should get rid of stress which can be done by actually planning far ahead for everything you do. That's why a student who started preparing for his exams a year ago would feel much more confident and less stressed than the student who just started the week prior. Make sure to give yourself enough time to think and assimilate information to avoid being stressed and consequently leading to doubts.

Conclusion

Here are a couple of points on how you can avoid having doubts, you have to apply them diligently and not just like a quick trick to get rid of doubts. Keep in mind that it's quite natural to have doubts, the way you get rid of them also has to be done naturally and not with some cheap trick that might work only once.
