This is what I do to better manage my time

If you’re an entrepreneur or somebody who is very enthusiastic working on several projects, you may have troubles managing your time, as you have just so many tasks to do. However, there is always a way to make a better use of time.
Based on my experience, the first thing you have to do is learn to work smarter and not harder. I’ve learned that is better not to do things robotically, but to think about the most efficient way to complete your task. Also, don’t try to do everything at once, because this is only going to lead you to stress and -most likely- uncompleted tasks.
There are several ways of better managing your time, and some of the ones I apply on a daily basis -and have helped me a lot- are the following:
1. Complete the most important task first
When planning my schedule, I make sure to identify which tasks are the most important to always do those ones first. This way my mind is fresh and I have a lot more time to do my main tasks correctly. Once I’m done, I feel relief and I can move on patiently onto other things.
2. Learn to say no
I never try to achieve too many things in just one day. If somebody asks me to do something, and I already have a lot of work, I simply say no to that person. I always make sure to only accept the commitments that I know I can comply with.
3. Don’t divert your attention
It’s common to try to do multiple things at once, but this is never a good practice. Ideally, I try to do just one task, so I can do it correctly. Also, I don’t move on to the next task until I’ve finished the previous one, this allows me to immerse in the work I’m doing and, therefore, I even see much better results.
4. Don’t procrastinate!
Let’s be honest, we procrastinate more than should, but -as you may already know- if you want to better manage your time, this is a huge “no, no”. If I have work to do, I put my phone away, turn off the tv and don’t distract myself with social media, once I’ve finished the job, there’ll be plenty of time to do all this and more.
5. Set yourself deadlines
Order is indispensable! I set yourself deadlines to complete my tasks, so I can better schedule time and know how much I should do to finish it all by determinate date and time.
6. Find time to rest
When we have too many obligations we tend to forget that resting is necessary, so in order to better manage my time, I make sure to have some spare time to just stay still. This allows me to recharge my energies and rest my mind in order to work better once I start.
Remember, time is the most precious resource we all have, so better use it wisely! If you liked this post, or if you find it useful, please share it!
