What if I could convince all The AutoCAD Users to Switch to a Better AutoCAD?
What if I could do this in 5 hours or less?
"Everybody would like to work better, faster & easier" - said YB on the other end of the line - Answering one of the two questions I had formulated and which I ask all my potential clients.
The answer to the second question is more complicated and the question is: "As the CXO/VP/Partner/Owner/Manager, how committed to such a process are you, Sir?"
I'm not a salesman, never have been and most likely that I'll never be.
Still, this phone call kept YB very attending and focused. We got to know each other and spoke for more than 40 minutes. The last part of the interaction took shape in a very strong set of Buying Signals. I'm a good listener and gathered a lot of intel. He is not different, though he is convinced his issues are very unique.
It's all about CAD Standards (LinkedIn Post) and some Automation and then, Productivity can become just a by-product.
Riding home , within my helmet, I though: "What if I could convince all the AutoCAD Users to switch to a better AutoCAD?" and "What If I could do this in 4:03 to 5 hrs.?"
IT'S ALL ABOUT CAD STANDARDS (WEB Page in My Website) is a 3 Sessions AutoCAD Online Master Class Series dealing with:
- Built-In CAD Standards into your AutoCAD Environment through TOOL PALETTES - Here's The Class Syllabus (strongly recommended to have a good look on it):
You can watch this in the Autodesk's Praxis Viewer
- Automating your AutoCAD through Sophisticated Template Files

8 年After years of customizing Autocad to enable us to be consistent, our productivity has increased dramatically. Custom lsp, python, and vba coding has allowed us to obtain, and maintain, a high efficiency use of autocad.

8 年My opinion of AutoCAD is that AutoDesk keeps it intentionally a pain in the ass to use... I used AutoCAD in school while learning design, and had the opportunity to learn SolidWorks in my first position out of school. SolidWorks is SO much easier to use. It is my belief that AutoDesk is purposefully keeping AutoCAD a labor intensive program in some attempt to keep Drafting/Designing as a specialty, whereas companies like Dassault Systèmes and their SolidWorks product are trying to open designing up to anyone and everyone.

8 年Productivity through knowledge is my experience. The power of the sheetset manager and table (among a few things) has really boost my productivity in AMEP along with the will of selflearning.
