If you haven't read the first Part of this, here's the quick 411.
I am currently taking a Marketing and Ecommerce Course on Coursera and engaged in discussions that I've found fascinating and I thought I'd share them.
We were asked to talk about an impactful marketing campaign that we either learned from the course or one we remember due to the impact it had on us.
For today, I'll be talking about the brand and marketing Campaign that came up a lot in the discussion forum.
The “Share A Coke” Campaign.
What stood out to me is the amount of people who mentioned the 'Share a Coke' campaign in the Forum. I personally never found my name on a coke bottle without having to personally request one (Joys of having a unique name).
The connection people felt when they went to the store and saw their names or that of someone they knew was the main reason course takers mentioned for choosing this campaign.
The “Share a Coke” campaign by Coca-Cola is a hallmark example of innovative marketing, which achieved remarkable global success. Here's an in-depth discussion on its impact and the lessons learned:

Campaign Overview
Launched in Australia in 2011, the “Share a Coke” campaign replaced the iconic Coca-Cola logo on bottles with 150 of the country's most popular names. This simple yet powerful idea encouraged consumers to find bottles with their own names or those of friends and family, creating a personal connection with the product. The campaign quickly expanded globally, adding more names and variations over time.
