What is Hot Gas Welding Machine

Hot gas welding uses a non-contact heating technique to unite two components seamlessly. In this process, a hot air unit directs a focused stream of heated nitrogen gas through a series of eyelets into the welding rib of both upper and lower parts, causing the plastic to heat and soften. The hot air unit stops the air supply and withdraws, and the upper and lower parts are pressed and cooled until they are bonded together.

HG welding boasts the advantage of producing no particles and causing no degradation to the material. This method applies to a wide range of plastic parts, including challenging materials such as PA6, PA66, PBT, POM, PPO, PPS, and more.

For many high-quality thermoplastics, HG welding is the only way to obtain a high-strength, homogeneous, particle-free heat fusion joint.
