What an honour

What an honour

I have worked in the first aid training industry for 15 years; I know, a mere pup to some of you. In that time, I have had the privilege of training over 1000 new first aid trainers.

I have written and delivered courses and trainer CPD events. I brought accelerated learning to the first aid industry. I have published first aid manuals, trainers packs and presentations and I have delivered courses to individuals who now operate their own awarding organisations or are subject experts for AOs.

I am currently sitting and writing new manuals to meet the HSE and VAS guidelines and a new manual from a different organisation has come across my desk. What a smile it put across my face when I saw, three “memory aids” I created many years ago for my Accelerated Learning for First Aid Instructors ("ALFI") course have found their way into this book.

I know many organisations have positioned themselves as the “experts” in the first aid industry, (I'm obviously a little more humble) but if I trained many of these experts and now my ideas are now appearing in their manuals; what does that make me?
