What is Home?

Over the past year I worked on building the first Ubuntu Home. Designing and building the home made me question my motivation for this work. After deep introspection, I realized that I am building homes for low-income families because I have personally never had a place to call home. This led me to write an exploratory article that tackles the question that's been a central theme of my life, "what is home?"
While I was researching this topic I quickly realized that I am not alone in the quest of finding the meaning of home, as home is a concept that resonates in every human heart. After 12 months of reflection and research, I have finished an article that I hope can shed light on this relevant topic from the perspective of a millennial architecture enthusiast living in post-apartheid South Africa.
Thanks to amazing people like Ruth Burn, Emma Jackson, Jacqueline Dohna, Milena & Becky St Clair for helping me structure my thoughts by giving me guidance and critics through the process. This is one of a few articles I'll be releasing soon. So stay tuned.
What's home to you?
