What is hemp hurd and what to use it for?

Let's just start out by stating that hemp hurd and hemp shivs are the same, the woody part of the stalk of every hemp plant. It has a variety of uses and the main obstacle at the time of writing this in many of the countries is the decortication process, namely to separate the hurd(shivs) from fibers which is also the stalk (stem) of the plant. That's another story though, so let's look into hemp hurd/shivs now.

Hemp Board - shelving, flooring and molding projects, because it is easier to shape than regular wood boards

Hemp Board - doors and windows, to have good sound and heat insulation.

Hemp Board - dog house, wall panels, because it is less susceptible to insect infestation

Hemp Board - indoor and outdoor furniture, because it is less likely to swell or buckle after being properly treated.
