What helped your business in 2024 ain't gonna fly in '25

We may only be two months into 2025 but one this is already hugely obvious.
Things have changed. Big time.
If you’re still relying on the same old freebies and hoping for a flood of clients… you might be noticing things feel a bit quiet. That’s because the strategies that worked just a few months ago aren’t cutting it anymore.
Here’s what’s actually working for coaches and nutritional therapists in 2025:
1. The Death of the Freebie (and What’s Replacing It) The days of offering a free PDF or checklist in exchange for an email are fading fast. People are overwhelmed by everything going on in the world right now - they don't want to feel overwhelmed every time they log into their inbox to find it stuffed with freebies they never use.
Instead? Low-ticket offers are taking over. Think $10-$50 for a bite-sized, high-value product—something that solves a specific problem related to what you're selling. Sure, your page visit to email capture ratio will drop, but here’s the magic: the people who do buy are far more likely to become paying clients and quickly.
It’s not about getting just anyone on your list. It’s about getting the right people—those who are ready to invest.
2. Niching Down Tight In uncertain times, people are more cautious about where they spend their money. That means they’re looking for specialists, not generalists. They don't have the patience to figure out if you mean them every time you send an email or put up a social media post.
Gone are the days when you could get away with saying, “I help people improve their health” or “I help you grow your business.” Now, it’s “I help mums reduce bloating through personalised meal plans that fit smoothly into their busy lives” or “I coach introverted entrepreneurs to confidently sell their services without feeling salesy.”
The tighter your niche, the easier it is for potential clients to say, “That’s exactly what I need.”

3. Beyond Know, Like, and Trust We’ve all heard about the “know, like, trust” factor. But in 2025, it’s not enough. People aren’t just looking for someone they like, they’re looking for someone who makes them feel seen, heard, and valued.
It’s not about perfectly curated Instagram feeds or clever marketing tactics. It’s about authentic connection. Show your audience you understand their struggles better than they do. Speak to their specific pain points. Share your story, not just your expertise.
And start understanding that the client experience starts the minute someone enters your world. A thank you page with your lead magnet or low-ticket offer is a must. Don't have an intro email sequence? Fix that.
And every once in a while, thank your audience for hanging out with you. Even if they never buy from you, what does it cost you to make them feel appreciated. After all, they're giving you one of their most valuable resources - their time.
Return the favour.
4. What Else is Working in 2025?
Here’s the Bottom Line: 2025 isn’t about doing more. It’s about doing what matters -connecting with the right people in the right way. Forget chasing followers or creating endless free content. Focus on building genuine relationships, offering real value, and being crystal clear about who you serve.
Because when your audience feels seen and your offers are dialled in, working with you becomes a no-brainer
