What have I learnt from Network Marketing? Part 1

People often have opinions about network marketing. Sometimes they actually know a bit about it. Often they don't! But that's never stopped anyone from having an opinion, has it?

But there are benefits that many don't think about. Or don't even know about. And learning is one is those benefits.

• Greater awareness of health, nutrition and wellbeing. This is the sector I work in and I am so much more aware of what I eat and drink, as well as the products I use in my daily life. This is mostly down to the training and information I've had and the people I've met.
• Positivity. I am a much happier and more positive person. This doesn't come from the money or the success. It comes from learning how to take a positive view of my life and be grateful for all that I have. How to appreciate small (and big) things in my daily life. Also how to appreciate good things about myself and others, and accept my little faults and other people's.
• Practical skills - business fundamentals. No, don't yawn. If you're in business, there's just stuff you need to know and understand, even if it is boring. You know, stuff like profit (and loss!), cashflow, tax, expenses, basic sales, invoicing etc. Networking marketing is just like any other business, it's just that you get more help.

There's a lot more besides. I have learnt that we need to be learning throughout our lives, especially as new ideas come along. Growing a business on social media seems like the most natural thing in the world now, but it's still quite new. And we need help to learn how to use these platforms effectively. Especially LinkedIn.
