What has been your gift of the breakdown

What has been your gift of the breakdown

Problems are like ink drops ,

You watch them closely they are dark , morbid

You put them in a glass of water , they turn dark blue ,

You put them in a tub , they turn light blue

You put them in a pond , they disappear

?

The pandemic has been the pond where most of my problems got dissolved

The two teenage daughters looking for a medicine for their dad on ventilator ,

An old man selling his shop and bringing food every day for his hospitalised wife

A daughter telling the father , not tell the mother that their young brother is no more ,

An old Sikh couple trying to put their six feet tall straddling son on a stretcher from their Wagonr

How insignificant are assignments , clients , deadlines , chaos at home , dog tearing the cover page of my book , kids shouting …

?

The chaos and noise around me which I so detest tells me that something is alive around me

Something is alive within me , still

?

Gratitude for this chaos ,

Gratitude for these breaths ,

?

I promise to make them count ,

I promise to smile

I promise to live with joy

I promise to live with innocence

I promise to live with serenity

?

I promise to love

To laugh

For as joy , serenity , innocence , love and laughter I was born

I am learning

To let go

To Let be

And Be Me ……

So it is now

This awareness , sense of awe , feeling of gratitude , being blessed has been my gift , what has been yours...?

?

What is that you have to be thankful for

What is that you have discovered in this period

What is that you are promising yourself from today..

Very well said, and nicely put, pandemic has taught all of us to be thankful and in gratitude. This breakdown has taught us, love and care for what we have and to cherish them.
