What has been your experience with eye tracking?

Eye tracking technology is used in medical research (for example eye tracking helps people, who suffer from paralysis), computer usability, employee training, adult and infant researching, sports training, vehicle simulators etc.

This technology helps marketers enormously too. We can tell if package design is effective and eye-catchy or if it is not. We can even find out how to place products correctly, so that consumers notice them right away.

Eye tracking helps to understand what people look at when they visit a website. We know what elements are “dead” and should be removed in order to make the website usable. You know today “F-pattern” is a layout design for most websites. The “F-pattern” was also discovered with help of eye tracking. There are a lot more discoveries made with eye tracking systems.
