What happens if you don't have a life plan

I've just finished a session with a client where we started outlining her five-year, three-year, one-year, and three-month life, work and business plans.
This client came to me when she struggled with habits of overworking, boredom, casual drinking, and feeling constantly tired.
Professionally, it’s time for her to think about retirement and how she, as an entrepreneur, gets to her goals of enjoying her life then, and for the rest of her life. She had no idea, because, in her own words, she hadn’t stopped to think about the big picture and all of my questions before. All she knew was she wanted to expand her business, but even the idea scared her because she would need to work more, expand her team, share the responsibilities - and all this held her back.
Often, clients come to me in need of personal crisis management - life, their wellbeing, finances or relationships are already suffering. They struggle with self-destructive habits and exhaustion, which subconsciously prevent them from doing what they want and need to do - but there’s something stopping them and hindering their progress.
With my holistic approach, we look at all areas of life, including habits, mindset, confidence, purpose, passion, and self-leadership - and create clarity and make the changes together.
If there’s no plan in life, a vision that excites us and motivates us to get out of bed feeling refreshed, people often ask, what’s the use?
And keep avoiding or repeating the same. But... life is quite short in the end, and it goes fast. If you don’t have a life plan and yet some of your potential, gifts, and big juicy creative urges and ideas are still inside of you, I’m calling you to take a moment and start crafting a life plan and vivid vision.
Having a life plan is crucial because it guides you through these obstacles and challenges.
Your visions, deep heart-based desires, your gifts, skills, and the message you want to contribute in this life can help you overcome anything. They lead you towards your goals, activating your intuition and creativity, and fulfill your potential, purpose and find the reason why you are here.
When you're in control of your life and know where it's headed, life becomes more enjoyable, more fulfilling. So, it's essential to have a life plan that includes your business and professional plans.

If you don’t yet have a life plan, it must include:
Think about the next couple of decades, the legacy you want to leave and the professional path you want to create. What if there's more to it?
Start writing it down to have a clear, embedded vision for the future and get really specific, asking questions you haven’t really dared to ask yourself.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. Do you have a life plan?
Let me know.
Have a wonderful Monday,
Jenni
