What Happens When You Say YES to the UNKNOWN?

I just wrapped up a powerful 2-day Thrive Hive Mastermind in Providence, RI, and I’m still buzzing from the energy and breakthroughs that took place! There’s something truly magical about bringing 20-25 entrepreneurs together from different industries, creating a space where no one is selling, no one is pitching—just a true, intimate mastermind experience focused on growth and transformation.

A Story of Courage: Veronica’s Breakthrough Moment

One of the most profound moments from this Hive came when Veronica, a realtor and real estate investor, bravely stepped into one of our 15 minute hot seats. When her name was called on day one, she sat in front of the room and opened up about her struggles:

Fear. Overthinking. Uncertainty. Impostor Syndrome.

The room rallied around her. Each entrepreneur (from 16 different industries) offered their unique perspectives, sharing valuable nuggets of advice that addressed her mindset, her goals, and her knowledge of the market. It was a true demonstration of the power of community—20+ minds working together to push one person toward clarity and a breakthrough.

But the real shift happened when one more hand went up. It was Dave Fulk , another mastermind attendee. Instead of offering more advice, Dave made Veronica an offer:

“Veronica, I don’t have any more advice for you. You’ve gotten so much already. What I have is an opportunity for you. It will require you to move past your fear and stop overthinking because it’s for this weekend in Tampa. I’m speaking at an event, and I’d like you to be my guest. You have to say YES and get yourself there by Sunday. and agree to stay through Wednesday”

Veronica’s reaction? Full on tears.

Here was a stranger, someone she had met the night before, offering her an opportunity that felt scary, unknown, and just downright CRAZY. But what if she said YES? What if she trusted him? Trusted me - that I host a room of amazing, authentic, heart-led, go givers? Trusted herself, and chose to move fear aside in that moment?

Well~ She said YES.

And what happened just a few days later at that event in Tampa was life-changing. Not only did Veronica gain clarity and courage, but she also proved to herself that sometimes the most important breakthroughs come when we take a risk and step into the unknown.

Veronica’s experience is a reminder for all of us. Fear, overthinking, and uncertainty are part of the entrepreneurial journey, but the real growth happens when we face those challenges head-on. When we take a risk and say YES—even when it feels uncomfortable or scary—true transformation begins.
