What happens! when you move out of your comfort zone.

What happens! when you move out of your comfort zone.

Writing my experience of moving to Bangalore to start a new job there. About two months ago I graduated from a fellowship and decided to continue my journey by working in the development sector only and shifted to Bangalore to start my new job with another organization here. Back in Punjab, it was a very healthy and productive day for me as I was in my comfort zone performing at my best, and quite satisfied with what I was doing at that time. Still, as soon I moved out of my comfort zone I felt like I jumped into a deep dark well—sharing some of my feelings which made me write this and share it with all of you.

  • Every emotion will hit like a bouncer: It was the phase of my life where I found my emotions hitting hard me and making me feel like a nursery kid. I was the person who never felt home-sick and called my parents very occasionally but after coming here I thought in my mind why the hell I am not living with my close ones? Having these kinds of emotions block your head with these thoughts only not being able to think about the point for which I decide to come here.
  • Simple tasks will make you feel like you are dumb: Of course, I came here for work and have to the office and do the tasks which are required but the simpler tasks will feel like they are very big and will not be confident enough to perform them. This will make you feel dumb and create self-doubts within you.
  • You will feel like you are in a boxing ring: I was the person who was always feeling happy to get up and take new initiatives at work and contribute at my best. But when you will be working with a new team you will always try to avoid or make the first steps into work, even waking up or going to work will make you sick and give the flashbacks of old good days. You will feel like you are every day going into a boxing ring and trying hard to stand inside and make the moves.
  • You will be a proud loner, not even trying to make friends: When you are away from your close ones and Mashri Mandeer(buddies) you won't feel connected to anyone not even try to participate in the group conversations. You will feel more love for your older friends and won't want to make some new ones because after facing a hard bouncer you are trying to live by yourself and a dark deep well is your new comfort zone.

Although these were all the feelings that hit me hard but somewhat and somewhere I know and you know that these experiences will teach you new life lessons, give you a chance to see how other places are, and help you to make new connections. I know me and you will fight hard if your goal is to prove Arjan Dhillon right " Tu vi chette karegi jawaniye mittran te aaye si kaddin"
