What happens when you give your all to work

Today I wanted to celebrate one of my clients and share something I’m proud of... ? ?
A number of times a year I do a deep dive case study session with some of my clients about what the real impact is of them being brave enough to step into the coaching room.
Especially, when they feel like they have got off track with who they want to be and need some help to re-imagine how they are living and leading. Nicole is an MD at a big Tech company, and she described to me the impact of the one-on-one Executive Coaching process on her.?
“Sometimes you just don't know what you don't know. It was a work crisis that triggered my manager to suggest coaching but, in the process, I released I was quite lost. I had been in quite senior roles doing the same thing for many years and I gave so much to the organization. What I hadn't realized or not really had the time to reflect on, was where was I in all of this? You know, how was I being perceived? Was I being the leader that I wanted to be? Was I on the right career path?”
I wonder how many of you reading this can relate to Nicole and feeling like you have given your all to something and lost yourself in the process? I also want to acknowledge what brilliant questions Nicole was asking herself that can be helpful for anyone feeling a bit lost right now and wanting to ignite some change in your life. ?
3 Questions to Start You Back on Track?
As Nicole continued in the coaching process, she was able to explore who she wanted to be as a leader in her words: ?

“It made me think more about the human element over the last few years, it's significantly changed the way that I speak, the way that I present, the way that I think, the way that I plan. You know, we lead very busy lives and just doing something once isn't enough. I certainly think that the transition that I've gone through my life in the last four years where I've drawn the most value from is going back through understanding your purpose, what it is you want to achieve, what are your strengths and what are your barriers holding you back. Because our mind is very powerful, and our mind can convince us very frequently that we can't do it.” ??
Nicole really wanted to be intentional about the impact she wanted to have both on the people inside and outside of her organisation. ?? ?
If I let you into a little secret this is my ‘holy grail’ of the impact, I want to create with Clarety Coaching. Reaching those leaders that believe great work gets created when you start with being good to your people. Helping these leaders find this sense of purpose and then working with them on the strategies, ideas and ways of thinking that are going to help them bring this to life. This how we can start to create the ripple - to light leaders up so they can light the way in their businesses and organisations. ?
So, channelling a bit of Nicole right now, here are 3 lessons that she suggests can help as you explore who you want to be as a leader...?

1 个月This really resonates many of us give so much of ourselves to our work that we lose sight of who we are outside of it. Nicole’s journey is a powerful reminder of the importance of self-reflection and realignment. I’m curious, what were the three key questions she asked to get back on track? It sounds like a great opportunity to gain some clarity and direction. Let’s connect I'd love to hear more about your approach to leadership coaching!
