What happens when effective onboarding is as easy as 1-click?
This question has been bouncing around my head for many months. After seeing and experiencing cringeworthy ad hoc onboarding too many times, I’ve stepped away from my 9 to 5 to help build a platform that delivers fun personalized and engaging onboarding experiences.

Organizations know the first-day experience is broken. Which is why they spend a significant amount of time and money making up for it. Food, benefits, outings and games are provided to help improve morale. However, staff know these perks are thrown around to distract us from the painful first-day memory that showcases the true ugliness of the company.
Do you remember your first day?
I’ve asked this question to many and the answer is always yes.
The first day is akin to a first date. It’s emotionally charged, always remembered and sets the stage for the rest of the relationship. It’s when you either get giddy with excitement to start a new journey together or realize why the lighting was always so dim in their profile pictures.

I’m incredibly excited to work with a highly competent team of developers who are passionate about helping as many people as we can have a fun, personal and productive first day.

8 年It is such an important phase that I put a lot of attention on here at Roadpost. New staff are welcomed with a complete 7-10 day orientation plan including pre-scheduled meetings with team leads in every functional area of the business, job shadowing where appropriate, and self-study intervals with an associated list of required reading. We receive overwhelmingly positive feedback about this approach from every person we hire. New employees hit the ground running with critical business and job context, and a head start on the important process of establishing productive relationships within their team and across the organization. Good luck with your venture!

8 年Yes, first day at a new job can be a bit of a let down to a complete disaster but it doesn't need to be. Good luck in this new endeavour!
